TORONTO — Two-time Olympian Crispin Duenas and Georcy-Stephanie Thiffeault Picard were nominated to represent Canada at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Wednesday.

Duenas, from Toronto, earned the Canadians an Olympic spot at the 2015 world championships and was chosen at the end of Archery Canada’s men’s selection process in June.

Duenas captured bronze in the men’s recurve bow at the world archery championship in 2013.

“I feel very lucky to have been named to my third Olympic team,” Duenas said. “All the hard work I have been committed to for the past four years has cumulated in another chance for me to show the world that Canada produces world-class athletes in all sports.”
