NANAIMO — A tweet from BC Soccer in 2018 changed life significantly for the Krynowsky family.

Spring weather brings paddlers from Nanaimo Canoe/Kayak Club out on Long Lake

NANAIMO – Spring officially arrived this week and local paddlers are already out on Long Lake.

The Nanaimo Canoe/Kayak Club has over 800 people who participate in summer camps and other programs, and the Sprint Youth Racing Team has 22 members who train as many as nine times a week.

VIU hockey team going for BCIHL championship in second season

NANAIMO – In just its second year in existence the VIU Mariners hockey team is competing for a BCIHL championship.

The Mariners finished the season with a 12-10-2 record, in third place in the league standings.
