NANAIMO —A BC Supreme Court trial in Nanaimo involving guns, drugs and violence came to an abrupt end when the criminal at the heart of the matter pleaded guilty.

NANAIMO —Police are trying to find a man accused of stealing four rings from a Woodgrove Centre store worth thousands of dollars.

RCMP said the rings were stolen on April 10 at 5 p.m. from Mappins Jewellers.

NANAIMO — A chronic offender was sentenced to three months in jail after a police pursuit in Parksville led to a broken ankle for an RCMP officer.

RCMP investigating possibly drunk driver in fatal Bowser crash

BOWSER — Police are investigating if drunk driving was the cause of a fatal crash in Bowser which killed a motorcyclist.

A 67-year-old man was hit and killed in the intersection of Highway 19A and Marview Dr. in Bowser on April 27 around 6:15 p.m.
